Meet the Team
Job title: Social Media Assistant
How long you’ve worked at Next: Coming up to three years!
Quick description of your role: I look after the social platforms at a day to day level. I sign off the updates and manage the content schedule. As well as this, I also oversee the posts uploaded to the Next Blogger Network (of which we have nearly 5k members!), maintain relationships with top fashion bloggers, help organise events and help coordinate any videos we are producing for the website.
Name three of your favourite wardrobe pieces: I LOVE knitwear, all year round… so anything monochrome and knitted is a winner for me at the moment!
As we’re coming into Autumn, I’ve been shopping for my new season coat. I couldn’t decide on just one so I obviously bought two. The first is JUST AMAZING – it’s this Acne-inspired Oversize Shearling Biker. The second is this awesome Metallic Parka.
Favourite social media platforms: Twitter and Instagram. My bedtime ritual (aside from cleansing, toning and moisturising…of course!) involves scouring twitter and instagram to catch up on whatever’s gone on in the day.
Weird and wonderful fact about yourself: A little too obsessed with fonts. I LOVE THEM. I also don’t eat any vegetables, aside from what comes on a pizza!
Biggest splurge in the name of fashion: I really don’t have expensive taste. I’m very much a high street girl. However, I do love trainers – and would probably spend A LOT more on a pair of Nike’s than I would on a bag…
3 favourite trends: 1. It’s not necessarily something I’d wholly embrace (more pick and choose elements from), but I do love a bit of 90s grunge. Namely kilts, buckled boots and faded denim.
2. Sports luxe. I LOVE a mixture of structured lines and relaxed jersey. It’s super wearable and something I can easily incorporate into my everyday wardrobe.
3. Finally, my most recent obsession is monochrome. Black and white ensembles are effortlessly chic and will be seeing me through the season ahead!
Least favourite fashion fad: Flared trousers!
Fashion and beauty items you couldn’t live without: Knitwear or a big oversize coat (sounds like i’m always cold… i’m not!) Beauty wise, I’m all about bushy brows and a dewy complexion – so the two items I couldn’t live without are eyebrow dye and a reflective BB cream.
