Geo print is hot for AW12 and Next have pieces to fit into any wardrobe, from blouses to dresses, to trousers. I have chosen to add the geo print cigarette style pants to my wardrobe for AW12 but being a girl who usually sticks to pretty plain pieces, styling the print is proving more difficult than I originally anticipated! I’ve been wearing these trousers a lot lately as they work for the office but translate easily to evening wear too. In fact I wore them to Next’s Press Day at the end of October – and spotted another few pairs at the event too!
My go-to when wearing prints is usually to team with all black: black tee, black shoes, black bag:
But there are other ways to wear these trousers if the monochrome look isn’t your thing. Why not make like many designers did for AW12 and match your prints. This geo print comes in a matching shirt, which you could either match the print and colour or, as shown here, go for the alternative colour scheme and just match the prints:
Finally, the ochre shade of the blouse above works so well that I have chosen this relaxed v-neck jumper for the final look and added simple accessories. This look falls somewhere between the first and the second, adding colour but keeping it simple:
