The 4 most wearable looks from London Fashion Week AW2015
London Fashion Week is coming to a close – and for many (us), that means taking heed and deciding which looks will REALLY be making their way into our wardrobes come Autumn.
Fashion season is famous for out-of-this-world creations, and whilst we don’t doubt they look FABULOUS, our sensible side is steering us toward more versatile looks; the ones that will out-live a season!
So can we see ourselves taking inspo from any design houses? Yes. Let’s start with Erdem.
In a collection which took inspiration from ‘The Collector’ - an installation based on a fictional Parisian art collector’s apartment, you can see where Erdem’s complex fabrics and devilish detail were born. Our favourite pieces were the long-sleeved, printed dresses with ruffled collars (a key feature across many LFW collections). Worn with bare legs and ankle boots – this is definitely a look we can recreate now!
Moving onto David Koma’s appreciation of the female-form… High necks, flared sleeves, belted waists and top-to-bottom zippers were just some of the details to be devoured throughout his collection. A simple but bold polo neck and A-line leather skirt are all it takes to recreate our favourite look!
Temperley London’s LFW offering was awash with modern formalwear, from the more slinky sequin-covered slip dresses right the way through to maxi-length outerwear. We’ll certainly be taking style tips from our favourite layered Temperley London look – THAT is the coat of dreams!
Lastly, Margaret Howell’s collection embodied everything that we love about autumn including a rich but understated palette. Howell’s classic, androgynous style was present throughout though full skirts and cinched waists kept it anchored within womenswear, politely nodding to a ladylike silhouette.
