You may have noticed a theme occuring here…. We just caaan’t get enough of monochrome!
Our festive knits are gone for another year (sob!)… and we’re left with having to face the harshness of January. We’re talking bare walls (it’s crazy how empty a room feels without all the decks), a MUCH less-carby diet and days of nothing to look forward to.
- alright so that last one’s probably a bit dramatic.
One of the main things getting us through the month is the thought of treating ourselves to some brand new clothes come payday! There are a tonne of gorgeous pieces just WAITING to be worn, February is certainly shaping up to be a stylish month… *grins to self*
So what’s on our wishlist? Well, we’re certainly under no illusions with the weather. The December monsoon has seen our faithful coats getting way more use than we were expecting. So we’re itching to add a bit of newness to our coat collection with this Longline Jacket. Funnel and polo are the necklines of choice this season and we’ve got a lorra love for this Cream Knit. The low fastening of the jacket means the jumper will be visible at the top which is suuuuuper chic – layering is key!
A press and blogger favourite at our Spring’14 press day, this Black Check Mesh Skirt is total must-have. The mesh overlay will look awesome against a bare leg when the weather warms up, but it of course lends itself to a good tights and boots combo too….. which leads us onto these Front Zip Ankle Boots - oh LORD. These are the boot-shape du jour, with a comfortable block heel and hardware detail, what’s not to love? The slight shine makes them perfect for the evening too!
Accessories-wise, we’re keeping it fairly simple. This Across Body Bag gives the outfit a utilitarian feel – we’re loving a bit of hands-free action during the stress of January, especially during the morning commute! To complete the look, we’d create a waist by cinchning the jumper in with this Black Snake Reversible Belt.
