Love is in the air! There’s just no avoiding the fresh flowers, luxury lingerie sets and all things pink on our Insta feeds. But if you’re a single girl this season, what better way to spend it than with your gal pals?
“Gal-entine’s” (or even Pal-entine’s) is the new way to spend February 14th with your besties. Because what says I love you more than fluffy slippers, freshly popped popcorn, a soppy chick flick and sharing a bottle of wine with your BFFs? Here are our top tips on the perfect girly night in…
Cute ‘n’ cosy
The number one rule of a girly sleepover has got to be – pretty new PJs! Whether you love an oversized robe or cute co-ords, a snug new sleepwear set or lounge pants are sure to set you up for a chilled night in. We’re head over heels for this pink floral set (£35) or these pink and white pjs with heart print bottoms. Not forgetting those adorable character slippers and socks – from fluffy mice to pink and white bunnies! Plus – we know your girl pals will appreciate an on-point PJ set more than any partner would!
Although we recommend 100% chill in the wardrobe department, what’s not to love more than an old skool make up sesh? Throw it back to the era of 90s sleepovers by experimenting with each other’s #FOTN – if you’re anything like us, you can watch make-up tutorials for days on Youtube! Or, show your bezzo’s you <3 ’em by treating them to something from our Make me Beautiful range – there’s new lip sets, nail collections and eye palettes aplenty!
Stockpile those sweets
Did somebody say sweets? Chocolate, crisps, popcorn… or even healthy snacks. This is your chance to create the ultimate carpet picnic with your pals. We love the Happiness homeware range for this Insta-worthy serving bowl or wooden board. Perhaps all bring a treat for the buffet or make a meal together – because whoever said romantic dinners had to be for two?
Pick a flick
Whether you’re going for a new release or a classic tear-jerker, try and decide on a film (or at least narrow it down to three) before the night. There’s nothing worse than finishing off the popcorn when you’re still only reading the Netflix reviews… yawn!
Take a trip down memory lane
Try and steer clear of social media for the evening – it’ll probably be full of lovey-dovey snaps and Facebook posts anyway! Instead maybe bring along some HYSTERICAL old photos from days gone by. ‘Why did you let me go out with my hair like that?’ ‘Whatever happened to glitter hair mascara?’ ‘Did I really save my pocket money to buy those jeans’?
Hopefully you’ll be armed for a totally fun night with your faves. Then, you can do it all over again for Pancake Day!
