Jennifer Inglis

Hi, what’s your name? Jennifer Inglis

Welcome to the Next Blog, tell us a bit more about your blog? The Style Crusader started because, well, sometimes fashion can feel a bit like a battleground. I am constantly at war with my own wardrobe in an effort to figure out what to wear and sometimes it feels like a struggle to think about anything other than pretty clothes and stylish people. It’s a place where I post photos of my own outfits, share tips about upcoming designers, and show off the world around me – whether that be a favourite new cafe I’ve found or shots of someone I’ve run into on the street.

What are your favourite looks of the season? Colour blocking with bright unexpected shades and the return of a more grown up refined silhouette.

Last purchase? Vintage bright pink heels.

What will you mainly be wearing this fashion week? Heels that I can barely walk in.

Seeing as it’s London Fashion Week, what is your favourite thing to do in London? I love wandering around Covent Garden, eating cupcakes, and people watching. Vintage shopping in East London is a pretty perfect way to spend an afternoon and I never miss the Wildlife Photography exhibition that shows at the Natural History Museum every year.

Biggest fashion indulgence? One single item would have to be my Alexander McQueen bag but, more generally, sometimes my whole life feels a bit like one big fashion indulgence.

Which fashion personality do you most admire and why? Strangely there really isn’t one single person that really stands out or that I view as a stye icon. I do admire the people that can manage to have their finger on the pulse and quietly yet powerfully influence each season: Grace Coddington and Hilary Alexander, for example.

Smokey eyes or red lips? Red lips… pink lips, purple lips, orange lips. For me, beauty this season is all about the lips.

Favourite footwear? Converse or flip flops.

Maxi or mini? Neither. The midi is where it’s at.

Tell us one surprising thing about you…Although I’m now officially British, I’m originally from southern California and grew up in the Middle East.
