Unless you’ve had NO access to social media for the past week, you’ll more than likely know that the streets of our capital became a fashion frenzy for the duration of London Fashion Week. Thousands of fashion lovers flocked to Somerset House and the surrounding areas, some with show invites in hand others just to snap some of the fabulous street style. We spent a few days at Abimarvel’s Apartment, where we were one of the clothing sponsors, offering a capsule collection of Spring’14 pieces for the bloggers to wear to the shows!
We’ve been keeping up to date with all the coverage from the shows and have LOVED seeing what’s hot for Autumn/Winter’14! Amongst our faves was the ever exceptional Burberry Prorsum.
The theme of Burberry’s AW14/15 catwalk was most definitely layers. It was all about different textures, patterns and colours… the more the better! One of the most consistent looks was this unique way to wear a scarf. It’s a great idea to make a scarf more like a piece of clothing, rather than an accessory. We’ve opted for a floral grey long sleeve dress and a mustard and monochrome stripe scarf, belted of course! The combo of the single-colour pattern dress and multicoloured patterned scarf is a subtler take on the trend. Open toe boots and a black tote complete the look PERFECTLY.
