Never ones to shy away from an outfit change, part 2 of our London Fashion Week wardrobe involved hot-footing it back to the office to recharge our phones and raid the showroom! (Yes, it’s like a giant walk in wardrobe…!) Luckily for us, the weather was on our side and no major (read: waterproof/insulated) outerwear was required. It’s amazing how flustered you feel in amongst the throngs of fashion editors, photographers and stunned members of the public – taking pics of literally everything and anything. Fashion week is surely one of the only places it’s considered totally normal to be papped no matter what you’re doing… even if it’s taking a picture of someone taking a picture…!
So onto what we wore… Generally we kept our looks fairly pared-back, opting for lightweight layers. There’s a lot of rushing around at LFW and striking the perfect balance between being fashion-forward and practical is a tricky one to master. You obviously want to look chic, but when you’re crammed onto a bench with 50 other people – it’s best to be in an outfit that’s low maintenance! Culottes are a dream as they create a dramatic silhouette whilst being comfy and well ventilated (super important when you’re on the verge over overheating post-sprint to the show). Cute accessories are also a must, especially when your outfit is along minimal lines. A statement bag is likely to have the photographers flocking, just make sure it’s big enough to store your invite, phone (plus portable charger!) and snacks.
