Next Mummy Stylist – The Winner!
Mummy blogger and vintage lover Kelle of Maggie Stone has won £500 Next vouchers in the latest Next’s Mummy Stylist competition in association – hosted by blogger Mirka Moore of allbabyadvice-blog.com. The standard of blog entries was so high and covered a range of childrenswear and maternity clothing styling mixed with social media promotion of their entry.
The winning post includes outfits for herself and two little ones in a “sailor chic” style which tie in with her self confessed love of polka dots, floral prints, red lipstick and vintage goodies. The post begins with a navy spot maternity dress styled with a natural straw hat and aviator style sunglasses. To complete the look, she went for a blue nautical spot changing bag and cross strap tan sandals! So cute!
“Polka dots – need I say more? It’s a well known fact that I’m partial to a polka dot print so this beauty instantly caught my eye. I love the cut of the dress, it’s a great length too and will flatter your changing shape perfectly. It’s one of those styles that grows with your bump so you’d be likely to get wear out of it beyond pregnancy.”
For her toddler and newborn, Kelle continued the maritime theme with a stripe jersey dress with matching shoes and straw trilby for Hattie and a stripe t-shirt romper for Fraser – complete with Marley Monkey toy. “This jersey dress is perfect for playing in but still stylish. Little miss will certainly be rocking sailor chic in the red, white and blue stripe print and the draw string waist is perfect for my skinny minnie.” She continued, “Every little monkey needs a little friend to take on their travels so this lovely soft and snugly monkey is the perfect companion.”
On selecting the post to win, Mirka said: “I run many competitions, but this has been by far the most exciting one, as it was aimed only at mummy bloggers and in order to win they had to show how creative they can be. It was very hard to choose the winner as there were so many great entries, but at the end of the day I went for the post which included outfits not only for children but also for expecting mums. I really liked the products she chose and the way she presented them in her post, and her graphic presentation was just fantastic.”
