#NextGuestBlogger Emily Knightley sheds some light on what to wear this festive season…
Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve fall almost a week apart and pose two very different clothing challenges. On Christmas Day we want nothing more than to keep warm, relaxed and have enough room to not feel to constrained after a few too many helpings of Christmas pud! Whilst on New Year’s Eve we dress to impress as we see in another new year. So I have picked out my top five Christmas knits AND my top five NYE party dresses:
On Christmas Day a patterned fairisle knit will add a little fun to your outfit (1) and a bright and cheery jumper with reindeer prancing prettily across is definitely called for (2). If you’d rather dress up a little more on Christmas Day, perhaps you’re off to church or out for lunch, why not keep warm and stylish in a knitted dress (3)? A cable knit cape (4) will look great over leggings or your new dress. And if you can’t let Christmas Day go by without a little sparkle, this angora sequin jumper will do the trick (5).
For New Year’s Eve, pull out all of the stops and dazzle everyone with the detail on the top and hem of this dress (1). Alternatively, keep covered up but looking chic in this lace dress (2) which is perfect for partying or dining, whatever your plans hold. This pink and silver dress is a real show stopper that will ensure you’re the belle of any NYE party you’re attending (3). For a more casual approach, try this grey dipped hem embellished dress (4). Of course, if in doubt you can never go wrong with an LBD with attitude (5).
What will you be wearing to celebrate Christmas and the New Year?
